The ATAS is a boomer touring bike styled as an adventure bike. The KTM 890 eggs you on more, chassis is more nimble, suspension is better yet slightly stiffer, engine is more responsive, engine is more rev happy. The AT (I rode a base), the chassis is super forgiving, brakes are insane, engine keeps lugging through whatever, engine has more
The 1190R was about $1500 more and the AT was only $500 less (but no gear). With the $1500 I saved vs the R, I bought heated grips ($135), KTM crash bars ($350), a set of TKC 80's ($300), KTM tank protection tape ($30) and a Black Dog Cycle Works skid plate. Vs the Africa Twin: 1) Performance!

The KTM is sweet to ride but probably not fun to own and maintain, whereas the Honda is a Honda. The Suzuki would be my second choice, as the V-Strom is pretty mighty by reputation, but I think the Africa Twin just gonna be the better valued, longer lasting and cheapest to maintain.

We have the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin priced at ₱950,000 , while KTM 1090 Adventure R is priced at ₱1.03 Million . If we compare the technical specifications, Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin houses 1084 engine whereas KTM 1090 Adventure R engine displacement stands at 1050.

One benefit of the smaller 75-degree, 1,050cc, V-twin engine though is the claim of much better fuel consumption than the bigger 1,301cc engine. KTM say the 1090 will provide 5 litres +/- per 100km, which is rather good for a big V-twin. So with a quick bit of math you can admire how far the 23-litre fuel tank will take you. . 114 26 21 93 281 342 167 342 305
