Each class is basically 3 classes packed into one. The "paladin" type class here which is Guardian can also become a hunter type with Dragon Hunter, or a mage type with Firebrand, or even a high mobility monk type with Willbender. And thief is only slightly harder for beginners. Later on every class becomes similar in difficulty. Guardian is arguably the best profession due to how many roles and viable builds it has but is not as beginner friendly. It has a lot of defensive abilities but low health so it can be rough if you slip up. Still, it's more newbie friendly than most of the roster. All that said, it's not really worth switching out of necro if you're new.

Soulbeast has the highest power spikes and decent mobility, however sustain outside of Dolyak Stance is lacking and stealth access can be tough compared with Druid. 1. Necromancer - Celestial / Trailblazer Scourge. The Scourge blazes a sand trail of broken champions and legendary bounties in its wake with its powerful sand shrouds and barriers. There is no doubt about what the current best solo class build for PvE is and why they are still powerful despite the nerfs. However, after experiencing how classes have been doing and what new players seek advice on until now in all the game modes, we can clearly set a top three recommended first pick classes for how easy and effective they are to start your journey in Guild Wars 2. Guardian. Ranger. Necromancer. Ranged dps with strong survivability works best. Ranger, necro, mesmer and rev are probably the best candidates. Personally, I find full dps builds work best. I have little interest in spending 10-15 minutes trying to solo a champion that is not meant to be soloed. It is a waste of time. Edited June 13, 2022 by otto.5684 . 210 128 8 9 26 353 304 154 166
